Scientific and research laboratory of linguistics, culture science and comparative linguistics

The head of the scientific and research laboratory of linguistics, culture science and comparative linguistics –  doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor, the head of the Foreign Languages Theory and Practice Chair Iryna Biletska.

Scientific and research laboratory of linguistics, culture science and comparative linguistics is a structural subdivision of the Regional Centre of Teaching Foreign Languages of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University.

The activity of the laboratory is conducted under the auspices of  O.O. Potebnya Institute of Linguistics of National Academy of Science of Ukraine and is regulated by the cooperation agreements.

The aim of the laboratory activities is the organization of research activities of specialists in the field of foreign language education, aimed at development of priority directions of linguistics, improvement of process of professional training of students of the foreign languages department, involving them in conducting research when writing term papers, theses, master’s qualification papers that entries of the relevant scientific profile of the laboratory.

Directions of scientific activity:

– implementation of basic and applied scientific and research developments in the field of linguistics and cultural studies, comparative linguistics;

– using of the results of research work in the educational process: the development of new and updating courses that are taught at the foreign languages department, the implementation of student coursework, master’s qualification papers and competitive research in the context of the laboratory;

– publication of results of scientific researches at joint conferences, seminars of various levels, round tables, in scientific publications and on official websites;

– strengthening of scientific contacts, study and approbation of best practices, innovations in the organization of scientific research by the leading staff of O.O. Potebnya Institute of linguistics of National Academy of Science of Ukraine;

– providing organic combination of teaching and research process through the involvement of the staff of O.O. Potebnya Institute of linguistics of National Academy of Science of Ukraine for reading lectures to the students of the foreign languages department.
