ФАКУЛЬТЕТ ІНОЗЕМНИХ МОВ

In January Cherkasy Oblast Olympiad in Foreign Languages was held in Cherkasy. The facilitator of the competition was Cherkasy Regional In-Service Teacher Training Institute. On the 18th January over 80 best learners of English in the 9th, 10th and 11 grades gathered together to participate in this highly vigorous challenge. The contest was assessed by members of the jury, including Tamara Ivanivna Bondar from Cherkasy State Technological University and Oleksandr Kovalenko from Uman State Pedagogical University.

The participants competed in listening, reading, writing and speaking. Everyone showed good command of the language. Schoolchildren from Uman gained outstanding achievements. Ivan Smirnov (11th grade) and Lisa Tolstenko (9th grade) became the winners. Generally, most prize-winners are schoolchildren from Cherkasy.
